Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
The Nautical Tropical Crew strives for excellence in both service and quality. Most orders ship next business day for in-stock items. Over-sized and/or out of stock items, may be shipped from the manufacturer directly. In the event of a shipping delay or discontinued item, we will notify you.
We have a generous 30-Day Return Policy. We love our products, and we are confident you will as well; however, should you receive an item and decide you do not wish to keep it, please notify us via email at [email protected] within 30 days of delivery date of your order. In the event an item is not shipped in error or damaged upon receipt, you will be required to purchase and print a shipping label.
For your protection, all undamaged items returned must be insured in the event the item is damaged by carrier. Any item that is uninsured and arrives damaged may result in partial or total loss of refund. All items must be returned to us packed as received in the original packaging with all internal packing materials enclosed in sellable condition. There is a 20% restocking fee for items that are not received in error or damaged. This will be deducted from your refund amount. Items that arrive back to us in damaged condition, or do not have the original packing materials, will incur a 50% restocking fee.
Our products are packed with the utmost care, but accidents do occasionally happen in transit. In the event that your item arrives damaged, or we have made an error with your order, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery at [email protected] and attach photos documenting the damage to the item as well as outer packaging. These photos must be submitted to us so that we may notify the carrier and to process your return. You will be emailed a return label at our expense. Please be advised that we do not schedule pick-ups for returns, so you will need to insure that the item is taken to the proper package handling facility or picked up from your residence or place of work. Upon receipt of the return to our facility we will issue a replacement or refund at our discretion. Funds are usually reflected on your statement in 2-3 business days upon initiating the refund.
Exchanges for same items only. We do not issue credits to be used against future purchases or substitutions
Any return to us that we are not given prior notice of, or are outside of the 30 day policy time frame, will result in total loss of refund.
Additional Shipping Terms
Hawaii & Alaska residents must call for a shipping quote before placing an order. Some items shipping to those states do not qualify for free shipping. Customer assumes full liability and cost for shipping to Hawaii or Alaska. Shipping fees for orders shipped to Hawaii or Alaska are non-refundable under all circumstances. In the event of a damaged upon receipt item, customer must submit documentation of the item’s damage to us. Please submit photos of the damage to the item as well as the box. As soon as these claim qualifications are met, you will either be sent a replacement or refund for the item price less shipping fees per your request. In the event an item is out of stock, and therefore cannot be replaced in a timely fashion, you will be issued a refund for the item price only. In the event of a delivery refusal due to damage, the item must return to us before we will ship a replacement or issue a refund and all fees associated with processing the refusal will be charged to the you separately.
Unless otherwise requested, or an item is over-sized and requires freight delivery, all items are shipped Ground transit. All items over $100 require indirect signature confirmation upon delivery. If you need expedited shipping, please notify us before placing your order. Extra shipping charges and a $10 expedited order processing fee will be charged separately at the time of order fulfillment to the card used to process your order.
Over-sized items that require freight delivery are denoted in the item description. You will be given a freight estimate. All freight shipments to residential addresses will be dropped curbside and you will be responsible for getting the item into your home. You will be required to be present to receive the delivery. If you are able to receive shipments at a place of business with a loading dock, please let us know in advance and you may receive better freight pricing. We can only provide freight delivery to residences or businesses accessible by truck within the lower 48 states. Our freight handlers do not schedule delivery appointments; however, your contact information will be provided to our freight handler and you will be given a waybill number and phone number by which you may contact the dispatcher directly to check the status of your delivery.
If your item is a gift, please specify in the notes when you place the order and we will make sure to not enclose an invoice with the shipment. We do not offer gift wrapping or special packaging.
Out of Stock Items
At Nautical Tropical, we pride ourselves on having one of the largest in-stock selections of unique nautical and tropical themed gifts and decor items. With that said, we do occasionally run out of stock on our more popular items, or items are occasionally discontinued to make room for curating new, exciting products. If an item is out of stock you will be notified via email and issued a refund for the item or be offered a substitution.
